Gareth ThomasGareth Thomas, the Head Chef and Proprietor, started his training at Pru Leith’s cooking school.

Within a few years, Thomas was training and working under Michelin star chef Jean-Christophe Novelli at Brocket Hall’s Auberge du Lac restaurant. With such training under his belt, Thomas decided to spread his wings and ventured to South Africa where he gained more experience working at Le Quartier Francais, an exclusive boutique hotel and restaurant at the foot of South Africa's stunning Franschhoek Mountains which was at the time ranked 46th in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

On returning to the UK, Thomas secured the enviable role of working with and training under Gary Rhodes at Rhodes 24 in the heart of the city.
